I'm alive!

Whoa! I have survived the first week in Cork, Ireland. Feeling overwhelmed with mostly everything. Or how the saying goes down here: I'm doing grand! And I have to say it out loud: the Irish hospitality is fantastic.

Some small facts
  • If you wonder about the battle between Guinness and Murphy's - Murphy's is the winner! Damn that beer is delicious.
  • It does rain a lot here. Sometimes the rain stops for 10 minutes. My shoes are never dry.
  • The department store Brown Thomas sells Acne and YSL. HALLELUJAH!
  • Irish kitchen is not only about fish and chips. You can also get fresh fish, salads, soups and dark bread. Finally normal food to eat.
  • I have gone through hell finding a place to live. Yet, I'm kind a hobo, but not for long.
  • One apartment can literally be 3 floors. If you're claustrophobic and moving to Cork. Get help before relocating.
  • My colleague told me that I'm already pronouncing some words with an Irish accent. Hey, I'm a fast learner.
  • The weather is the main thing to talk about :)!
  • So far so good and I'm loving it! No regrets what so ever.
  • And the best for last: Apple, Apple & Apple!

More update coming up. Keep tight.

PS. Heidi and the Aussie lads - Thank you all for the great weekend. Without you my first expression of Cork wouldn't have been this wonderful. X
